THE MAGNET PROJECT

I started making fridge magnets for my very first granddaughter and have noticed that all my grandchildren enjoy playing "on the fridge" when they visit. You can see some of the collections I've done on the Miscellaneous section of my Craft Galley.

As a separate project I decided to use up some of my scraps of embroidery floss and start a series of alphabet magnets. They are slowly becoming a set and I have enough done that the grandchildren can play with them when they visit.

I tried several methods of finishing the backs of the magnets. None of the methods I tried really satisfied me so I cross-stitched the back pieces as well. I'm finding that with some of the pieces I'm needing to add more than one magnet to keep them secured to the fridge door. I'm using magnets from the Loonie Store so it doesn't cost much to add a little extra power.
