CROSS STITCH

Some of my favorite projects have been done in cross stitch. I love seeing how the pattern develops - sometimes it is hard to put it down because I just want to see a little bit more. There are more photos somewhere - I'll have to dig them out.

Christmas Ornament for the Timberlane Quilt Guild

Since I didn't feel confident enough to quilt something as a gift, I chose an ornament with a quilt-like pattern. The ornament was well received so I may continue the tradition (at least until someone figures out who is making them).

New Babies for 2010

I always give the new babies in our family an ornament for their first Christmas - the flip side has the year. I don't have photos of all of them, but there is seldom a Christmas that we don't welcome a new baby.

I've used this ornament idea for other gifts as well.

I've done a number of pictures as gifts for some of my grandchildren - time to get busy on some for the rest.

Some of my grandchildren got a set of blocks for their first birthday. The blocks contained a hidden message if they were put together in the right order.

I have a whole series of magnets started, but they may not get done until I retire (see Magnets in the Craft Gallery). In the meantime, I've made smaller sets for some of my grandchildren.

This is one of my biggest projects ever (the framed picture, not my daugher).
