Saskatoon

We had a quick trip to Saskatoon early in June to celebrate my brother and sister-in-law’s 40th Wedding anniversary.

Friday, June 4th

We arrived in Saskatoon to bright sunshine, although Kathryn said that the clouds had only lifted a few minutes before we landed. We got reacquainted with Will and Alex, and waited for Dave to return from a few days spent at the Rider’s training camp. There was lots of excitement when Dad arrived home with the CJWW truck.

Saturday, June 5th

We were up and about early on Saturday and headed off to the zoo. The sun was shining and we spent a lovely few hours wandering around. I don’t think we saw everything, but we had a lot of fun while we were there.

Alex was in giggles watching the bear in the swimming pool. While we were watching the bear, Belle (the cat) curled herself up in the back of the stroller and settled in for a snooze.

We took the train ride to get the “lay of the land”, but we really wouldn’t have needed any directions as the Thomas’ have been here many times.

Grandpa was intrigued with the peacocks, and the rest of us planned stragegy.

We went out for lunch and Alex fielded all our calls.

Sunday, June 6th

Mum had to work on Sunday - and while Mum's away the boys will play.

Alex kept Mum updated on what was going on.

Will's training wheels came off.

The party was in the afternoon, and it was wonderful to see so many family at such a happy celebration. Although I visited non-stop, Grandpa, Dave and the boys toured the museum.

All too soon it was time to head back home.
