Saskatoon

Wednesday, April 21

I left Vancouver in rain, but by the time I got to Saskatoon it felt like summer. Alex was still a little shy with me.

After we picked up Will from pre-school we had a play in the backyard.

Will is playing “real” hockey now and I was lucky enough to be there for a practice night.

Alex and I were in the cheering section, but a chocolate sucker took up a lot of our time.

Thursday, April 22

Our day started with a 20-minute walk to the new Shaw Park where the boys had a play.

While we were out we walked to Wal-Mart. Kathryn and Alex got the necessities, but Will and I scouted out the toy aisles. We settled on a water toy because the day was as warm as summer. After nap time Kathryn and I put the toy together, but it didn’t turn out to be as big as we had expected. The boys had fun playing with the water anyway.

BBQ chicken was on the menu for dinner – Dave is a great cook.

Friday, April 23

We started out for the park again this morning – this time with Will on his bike. We weren’t very far though when we were caught in a downpour. After drying out a bit Will got out his “Wii” game for some baseball, golf and tennis.

Look out when Alex is at bat.

After much too short a visit, it was time to leave the Thomases.
