The only thing I knew about the movie before going to it was that it included a stellar cast. Although Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway are the main characters, appearances by Michael Caine, Matt Damon, Judy Dench and Topher Grace kept it interesting.

This is science fiction and for the first couple of hours it follows the formula quite well. After intermission (it’s a long movie) the story got a bit weird, but believable since the plot dealt with the relativity of time (a minute in one galaxy may be a few years in another).

We took four of the grandkids to see this movie over the holidays. There were accidents with popcorn and much shuffling of seats, but overall I think everyone had a good time. The kids all thought the 100+-year-old theatre was pretty cool, especially because we got to sit in the very front row!
