This mug rug gave me the opportunity to try a technique I’ve only used a couple of times before – self binding. This was my first attempt and I’m pleased that it came out as well as it did. Hopefully by the time I’ve done it a few times I’ll improve.

I picked floral fabric for the card for two reasons. First, the flowers in Saskatchewan should soon be out. Secondly, April showers (or snow storms) bring May flowers.

While diving through my bins I came across this Corvette fabric. I know Rick has a “special” car but I don’t think it is a Corvette – sorry Rick.

I used this fabric to make a set of curtains for Dylan’s room a long time ago.

I wanted to use this music-themed fabric for Pat’s card. I made a wall hanging using these fabrics a few years ago. I would have preferred the piano keys as a border but I stitched it to the wrong side so the piano keys are on the back.
