Axel Pullover

Christy sent me a link to this pattern and I agreed to make one for Taylor. The pattern wasn’t expensive and I downloaded it from Ravelry, which I often use for free patterns but seldom purchase from. I checked my stash of yarn and found a partial ball of Bernat  Softee Chunky and knit a swatch to check my gauge. I don’t usually do this but in this case my tension and this yarn worked perfectly together. When I checked with Christy as to what colour Taylor might like she said she would check, but that she (Christy) would like one in gray.

I decided that a trip to Michaels while I was in the Lower Mainland would be fun (for me) and I could let Taylor pick out the colour she wanted. There were lots of choices, but very few of the colours had the needed amount; Taylor chose green for herself.

The pattern knit up quickly because of the chunky yarn and large needles. On a fun trip (for me) to Fabricana Taylor picked out the buttons she wanted. Good choice Taylor!

I’ll start work on Christy’s sweater soon.
