Based on the fabrics I used, the name of this block suits. The yellow and black print was from a fat quarter Stacia gave me when we first had a sewing session together. The purple floral print was purchased to make a wall hanging for my friend Diane; she also received a tea cozy in the same fabric. I’ve used the purple and black fabric in many things already, and what I have left is destined for a log cabin quilt. The green and the brown are regulars in my stash.

I added the triangles in the corners just to prove I can do something other than stitch-in-the-ditch.

The block finished at 6″ x 6″ and is from the Splendid Sampler collection.
