Ahh – how wonderful to be back sewing again. Remember the bag I saw at the Guild’s Trunk Show? I saw the bag Thursday night and it is finished already! How good is that. You can understand why I wanted something made in the “Paris” fabric and a bag seemed like a perfect choice. When I asked the “bag lady” if I could see her pattern and explained why I couldn’t purchase fabric until I saw how much I needed she agreed to bring it to the bee today. But then she wrote back and said “her” bag was for sale; I immediately responded with SOLD! I don’t think I will take it on my trip, but it will be a lovely souvenir.
And it was a productive day of sewing too. I finally (after about three years) have the reverse appliqué piece ready for quilting. I will get it sandwiched and quilted as quickly as possible. I hope to have it done in time to count for my miniature for the month and, once it is done, it can come off my Guild UFO challenge list. And even if I didn’t have those two very good reasons for finishing the piece, I will be thrilled to get it off my design wall! This is another of those “been there, done that, never need to do it again” projects.
We’re off to the movies tonight.
