A few stitches

Monday, April 25, 2016

I still had some cleaning up to do this morning from the past few days of Arts Council and Guild work. After the work was done it created a few things that needed to be dropped off and checked on. The one bit of “happy” I planned was stopping at the wool shop to pick up a ball of  yarn for my knitting project. That was my last stop and and I was very unhappy too see they were closed today; I don’t go often enough to know their hours. The stop wasn’t a complete loss though as I drove past where we meet for Ukulele Club and that sparked my memory into realizing tonight was Club night.

We missed the last two weeks of Ukulele Club; our leader was ill one week and then travelling the next. When I went to do some crash practicing after lunch I saw that my ukulele hadn’t been unpacked since the last session – three weeks ago. It won’t be pretty tonight and I might be better of skipping (and everyone else might also benefit from that) but if she gives out new music I need to have it as quickly as possible as it takes me longer than most to learn it.

I hand stitched the binding on two sides of a quilt this afternoon before opting for a nap. I hope that with the bee tomorrow I can get back on track with my sewing. My schedule (of course) has gone out the window because I’m way behind on cards for May – there are about a dozen I should be considering.
