Last night I had my first session with the Ukulele Club; I’m not sure I’m ready for their level of playing, but I signed up for a month to give it a good chance. I’ll need to practice more and I’m coming in a month late on some of the songs they are playing so I feel a bit overwhelmed. They are all very nice people but I have to admit that for a lot of the time I was playing the chords without doing any strumming – a little like lip-synching I guess.

I didn’t head out to my bee until almost noon. We were waiting for a couple of phone calls and by the time the last one came in it was getting close to lunchtime. I probably wouldn’t have gone at all except I’ll miss the meeting on Thursday (House Concert night) and I needed to hand in my report and a few items from the website mail. I still managed to get something accomplished; I’m caught up on all my quilt-along projects as well as my cards so I hope I can settle down for a bit and get some projects finished.
