I had great plans

I had great plans for the day. I was going to get my bags packed for quilting tomorrow, move on to my ukulele practise and then do my hour of de-cluttering. I thought I could get a start on the quilting that has been sitting ready for over a week. Things didn’t work out that way though – do they ever?

I was feeling a bit guilty about the edits left to do for the Guild recipe book. I bargained with myself that I’d do one chapter and then move on. But after one chapter was done there were only two left and if I got them done I could pass it all along to a proof-reader at the bee tomorrow. By the time it was finished it was noon.

After lunch I decided I’d do my de-cluttering. Pat has been selling things on a local Facebook page; I’ve been doing all this sorting and cleaning with nothing to show for it. Well, hardly nothing; both of my sewing rooms are topsy-turvy and I have less room to move around in than I ever had! I’ve finished sorting my yarn and patterns now so I can start to package those up so they will be ready to sell when the time comes; that alone will clear a lot of floor space.

I managed to rearrange a bit in my kids’ room; I moved the doll house to the top of another surface and I was able to move out the small desk it had been sitting on. It is currently out at the curb with a “Free” sign so hopefully someone will take it. Pat didn’t think it was worth selling or even donating to one of our thrift shops.

I have almost finished packing my bags for tomorrow. I have plenty of projects packed but I still need to gather up a few tools and wind some bobbins. I boiled some eggs for tomorrow’s lunch so you could even say I’m ahead of myself.

Except of course for the ukulele and the library book whose due date is looming later this week, and I was just notified this afternoon of another book ready for pick up.
