I thoroughly enjoyed the movie last night; I think the theatre missed my regular visits though as the red licorice seemed less fresh than usual. Film Festival starts next week so they’ll be ready with a new batch before then I expect.
I stitched the sleeve, label and binding on my miniature project this morning before heading out to the Post Office. As I was getting ready to leave I noticed kids playing on the grass across the street at City Hall. I wondered why they weren’t in school and then I remembered it is Family Day in BC. I expected the Post Office to be closed but I thought maybe the outlet in the mall would be open. It was the exact opposite; the mall doors were closed and locked but the Post Office was open for business. I don’t think the women behind the counter were particularly pleased about this, but I was able to get the last of my Valentine gifts in the mail as well as the last of my cards for the month.
I did some ukulele practicing but I’m going to go back to my book for the rest of the afternoon. I’m giving in to the idea of getting this book done today, and I’m giving up on getting much of anything else done until I finish it. I’ve already placed a hold at the library for another book by this author, and I’m still plugging away on my “big book” at night before bed.
