Today was paper-work day in my schedule. I started by going through my e-mail and came across the message from Apple that I should upgrade my computer operating system. When the upgrade was first available there were still a few of my applications that weren’t supported; I did a quick check and everything seemed ready to go. So I started the download, installation and upgrade.
While this was taking its time to complete I finished the quilting on one of my cards and then started cutting fabric for the project we will be working on at the bee on Tuesday. I found the fabrics quickly thanks to my new(est) organizational system. By the time the cutting was done the upgrade had completed and it was time for lunch.
After lunch I did a bit of paperwork and then started to do some work for some web updates. I needed to import photos from my camera first. iPhotos has been replaced by Photos and it is a whole new ball game. While Photos was upgrading iPhotos I had time to complete another card top.
I’m going to have to learn how to use Photos; the layout is completely different from iPhotos and I had a hard time finding my “usual” spots for my photos. I can already see that I need to get busy organizing my digital photos before I even start on my photo boxes. I managed to figure out enough to get a couple of pictures loaded, edited and exported but it was a struggle.
I hoped to get at the final edits on the Guild cookbook today. I haven’t opened my recipe program and I’m hoping it isn’t full of surprises as well.
On a springier note, the daffodils in the garden are about 6″-8″ out of the ground and, while I was at the kitchen sink, I noticed the crocuses are blooming across the street at City Hall!
