Mission almost accomplished

My task today was to get a birthday present made and ready for the mail. The gift is done but it still needs to be wrapped in some birthday paper and then put into a box with some brown paper wrapping. I’ll take it to the post office tomorrow.

I finished proof-reading the Guild recipe book while I had coffee this morning; there are a lot of edits to be made but I hope to get it all done in one sitting. I’m going out tomorrow to check the metric measurements on some tins, packages and containers. Carola has volunteered to help me scan the aisles. I had a few questions for the head of the committee but she hasn’t answered them yet so I won’t start the edits until she does.

I popped down to Carola’s after lunch to borrow a ruler; not just any ruler but a flexible one. I saw the product on Lainey’s walls whenever I was there; I didn’t know what it was used for and I never bothered to ask. Yesterday I borrowed a CD from the Guild library and the first thing it talked about needing was a flexible ruler. I’m going to attempt some vines and leaves on the piece I’m quilting. The CD teaches you a whole bunch of different things you can do but it starts with some basic vines and leaves; I have no doubt those will prove to be as much as I can handle.

Off now to do that wrapping.
