My knitting day

Thursday, January 19, 2012

I consider Thursdays to be my knitting day. I can pick it up, knit a few rows, and then put it down when I need to be off doing something else. And Thursday is often one of those days when there is a lot to do.

Not so today though. I have to admit I’ve been finding excuses not to be at my Thursday yoga classes since we got back from our Christmas break. Today’s excuse was that my back is just getting better and I didn’t want to mess with it. So I spent the morning with my knitting.

I have my shift at the Red Cross every Thursday and, although I had made plans with Margaret, she called this morning to say that she wasn’t feeling well enough to go out. It was a quiet day, but the convener was in to do some repair work so I had company. After my shift I did some shopping – Wal-Mart and groceries. When the groceries were put away and I had a rhubarb crisp in the oven I sat down to some more knitting.

Tonight’s Guild demo was on light and dark quilts but Pat flew in on the 7:15 flight so I chose to pick him up at the airport. I really don’t need another quilting idea! Apparently I can get tired of a good thing – while we caught up on some TV shows tonight there wasn’t a knitting needle in sight.
