The sun is shining today. It was still dark when I finished breakfast and was ready to start my day so I put off cleaning up the yard. I got one of my remaining parcels ready for the mail and, since it was still only mid-morning, I decided to put my head down, get two more cards done and get the final big parcel in the mail.

I was headed out to the post office by 2 PM and on time for today’s mail pick-up. The line at the counter wasn’t too long when I arrived but it was back to the door by the time I left.

Don’t be fooled that I am actually done all my parcels; I bought pre-paid envelopes for the remaining three that will have to go out early next week. I’m still waiting on a delivery for one of the packages; the item was supposed to be here on Wednesday but it still hasn’t shown up. And I’m working on two other presents.

I planned to start the yard clean up when I got home from the post office but Pat had to go out. Since he was expecting a delivery today he needed me to stay inside and listen for the door; the clean up needs to be one at the back and deliveries come to the front so I wouldn’t hear them. With any luck it will be dark soon and I can put it off for another day!

Speaking of other presents, I’d better get back to them.
