Second Person Singular

Author: Sayed Kashua

Second PersonThis book was picked for one of our Library’s book club selections. I put in my request for the book but it didn’t arrive until well after the book club meeting; when they told me it had arrived I decided I would go ahead and read it even though it wasn’t anything I would have picked for myself.

The premise is interesting – a married man finds a note in his wife’s handwriting inside a book he has purchased at a second hand shop. We follow him as he tries to decide whether or not his wife has been unfaithful. At the same time we are following the story of the original owner of the book and the recipient of the handwritten note.
