Sewing day

Sunday, November 8, 2015

I was in my studio working before Pat was up this morning. I had an almost-finished project left from yesterday and I wanted to see how it looked when it was done. When I showed the finished project to Pat he wasn’t very encouraging as to whether or not it would sell, but I decided to ignore him and make a couple more.

Nov 8_2In between loads of laundry I finished up two more and they are ready for the sale bin. We made this bag at the Texada retreat in the Spring and I use mine all the time for storing my hand stitching. I’ll market them as kids travel bags (with crayons and a colouring book inside), cosmetic bags (with shampoo, toothpaste and a toothbrush) and as a project bag (with some knitting needles and a ball of wool). I had the fabric and a zipper for a fourth bag but I ran out of vinyl.

With what is left of the afternoon I’ll either tie in some ends on some knitting projects or maybe start a new (quick) cross stitch project. I started a new knitting project last night with the yarn I bought in Victoria; I hope to finish it this evening.
