Getting started

I planned to get started on my cleaning today – we have a House Concert this weekend. When I took a cup of coffee down to Pat in his studio, he rather nicely asked if I minded going upstairs and staying there because he wanted to do some recording. I knew running water would also be a problem so I came up to my studio and did some much-needed tidying. Since I had almost everything pulled apart (again!) I did a bit more reconfiguring. I need to finish a few projects but at least now I can easily get to my bins of neutrals, novelty and Christmas fabrics. I was constantly having to dig through piles of projects to get at those particular bins.

I managed to get a bit of cleaning done – a start on the bathrooms and the laundry room. I returned some empty cans and bottles to the depot after lunch and I also dropped off stuff at the recycle centre. While I was out I stopped at Safeway to pick up the treats that will go along with the Hallowe’en projects; I finished up project #3 today. I hope to get them in the mail tomorrow but there is still plenty of time if they don’t make it until next week.

We had gas coupons (from Safeway) that gave us five cents and ten cents off per litre of gas but they had to be used today so while I was out I filled the car. Pat went out earlier and he said there was a line up at the pumps. I was able to pull right up to the pump but by the time I left the cars were lined up behind me; everyone must have saved their coupons until the last minute.

I’m off to a Guild demo tonight so I’d better get myself ready.
