Colourful but boring

Thursday, October 1, 2015

Oct 1_1I’ve been working on the stitch-in-the-ditch quilting on my tablecloth. It is so boring. I remember when I was piecing the top (a Guild Mystery Quilt) thinking it would never be done. I must have been bored then as well because there are many places where I’ve cut off a point or mis-matched a seam. I don’t even want to think about all the ends I’ll need to tie in! It might not be as big a deal as I imagined if someone does accidentally spill something on it.

I have been listening to music while I stitch. I put iTunes on shuffle and every now and again I hear a piece of Christmas music. That just serves to remind me that it is the beginning of October and I still don’t have my Christmas “thing” picked out, yet alone started.

I have a Guild meeting tonight; I looked this morning and I didn’t have anything to prepare. I did the web updates right after the last meeting and, because of the new pages I’ve added, there really isn’t anything that I need to report on. I’ll take along my book report and project for Show and Share, and I’ll also take my coil bowl. It isn’t any further along than it was yesterday, but I can show what I’ve done and while I listen to the meeting I can wrap some more cord.
