I finished hand stitching the binding on Elizabeth’s quilt last night and then I finished my Family Place quilt this morning before taking a break to move some furniture around. Pat has a new desk so we had to take apart the old one and move the new one into place. Then we decided to shift around a few more pieces so we can get a few more seats in for the House Concerts. Every furniture move at our house results in a pile of dust bunnies that need to be cleaned up and, in this case, I had to wipe a few marks off the wall and the floor.

It was noon before all our work was done – or at least all I needed to do. I headed upstairs to work on the last few stitches of Elizabeth’s quilt. I’m liking the name Elizabeth’s House less and less so the piece may remain unnamed; the name of the pattern was Leanne’s House so I thought Elizabeth’s House would work but I don’t think so now that it is done.

Well almost done. I had to go out to the fabric shop today for some buttons for it. I have a nice selection of coloured buttons but some of them just weren’t working for me so I got some new ones. And some of the ones I got at the fabric shop weren’t exactly what I wanted so I went to Walmart and got a few more. Buttons anyone? I have tons in my button box.

I may not have time to finish up the quilt before dinner but I’ll try. We’re off to the movie tonight.
