Library and the bee

Tuesday, September 1, 2015

Since we weren’t able to do our library work last Thursday we met first things this morning to finish everything up. Well that was the plan anyway. There was a shelf of books hidden in one of the Guild cupboards that needed to be added to our listing; I took care of that while my partner took all the old sticky labels off the library shelves. We started to put the new labels on the shelves but quickly realized they weren’t going to be large enough. So I’ve got library homework to do before Thursday.

Not too much of the morning was gone before I was able to get to my sewing. I got the binding stitched to my Family Place quilt and then moved on to cards. I had some orphan blocks on my design wall and decided they would do quite nicely for cards. I have all three cards quilted, one has the binding attached, and one has the binding made; I ran out of time before getting to the third card.

We may go to the movie tonight; Pat has someone here working on a home improvement project and it depends how long he takes. If the movie doesn’t work out I hope to finish the binding and label on Elizabeth’s quilt and maybe (big maybe) get started hand stitching the binding on the Family Place quilt.
