I made great progress today. Elizabeth’s House has the binding made and attached; but it still needs to be hand stitched to the backing.
The quilting is finished on my Family Place quilt and the binding is made, but there are a lot of ends that need to be knotted and tied in. I can’t attach the binding until I find out whether we’ll be putting our Timberlane Quilter’s Guild label in place. While I quilt my mind wanders, although I keep my eye on the piece. I didn’t plan it this way, but I noticedĀ from the fabrics I used almost all of my grandchildren are represented in the quilt; I think Madison is the only one that is missing and that is probably because the latest projects I’ve made for her are more grown-up than the novelty fabrics I’ve used for the others.
I spent a bit of time tidying up the house. Pat will be home this evening and I have to admit there were a few threads, some strips of batting, and bits of fabric scattered throughout the kitchen and living room. We’ll go out for dinner after his flight arrives so I’ve still got a bit of time to work on something before I head for the airport.
There will be no shortage of evening projects to work on for the next few days.
