Offline and disconnected

We were changing the furniture around in the bedroom this morning but when we went to put everything back together the phone didn’t work. We tried resetting the cordless phones and then we tried a “regular” phone but we couldn’t get a dial tone.

Pat spent over an hour with support only to find out we had to have a service call, but that wouldn’t happen for a week. While a technician online was trying to get our home phone redirected to Pat’s cell, another technician asked Pat to reset the fibre optic boxes. The Internet was fine but we did as requested and something snapped and all of a sudden we were without Internet as well.

The tech must have felt bad because he was able to arrange for a service call late this afternoon – he fixed both the phone and the Internet connection.

So we are back in business again; I didn’t realize how dependent I was on it until it was gone!

We’re off to the Friday night market in just a few minutes.
