Finally

It’s been a month since I was in Victoria for my MRI; the technician there said the results would be back to my doctor in a week. When I called the doctor’s office to make an appointment they said it usually is two weeks before they see results. So I made an appointment in two weeks time. But after two weeks, there were still no results. The receptionist said she wanted to make another appointment for me but her next available date was when we were on the Island so I made one for today.

Monday afternoon the receptionist called to say they still didn’t have my results. I was annoyed enough that I called Victoria but they told me they couldn’t resend the report unless the doctor requested to have it faxed. I called the receptionist and gave her the information; she said she would follow up with it but asked me to call today just before my appointment time to be sure they had it.

We were up early this morning and both Pat and I were in our studios before 8:30. I finished a card top, had my shower, and had lunch; there was still an hour to wait until I could call the doctor’s office. I was tempted to sit and play a game (or more) on my iPad but I have a lot on my to-do list so I came upstairs to the studio again.

I sandwiched the card top I stitched this morning; I cleaned up some files on my computer; I booked my flight to Saskatoon in the fall. That ate up most of my time before I was able to make my phone call. Yes, they had the results although not without some of their own problems. The first time the report came through they only received the cover page; a second call to Victoria gave them the full report.

I met the doctor this afternoon; I was expecting him to be Chinese, but I think he is African. He was very pleasant for the three minutes we chatted!  All of my results were fine and I hope I won’t be seeing him again any time soon.

The afternoon is half over but I’m going to make a start on some quilting.
