I am so tired

The concert last night was great fun and there was a fantastic turnout, at least twice as many as we ever could have fit into a House Concert. Of course I knew Rick from when he was here for our House Concert, and I’d met his son, who lives south of town. Rick’s wife Valley was with him this time and she is a lovely woman. After the show everyone came back here for a visit; it was a late night though and close to 1:30 before I headed to bed.

Morning came much too quickly and I was out the door for day two of the fibre event. Many of the participants were the same as yesterday, and several of the instructors were back teaching a different technique or class. The first class I listened in on was spinning; I have a new appreciation for the wool I buy but I’m not interested in spinning my own. Next up was latch hook rugs using T-shirt strips; this would have been more interesting had I not won that big latch hooking kit yesterday. One latch hook on the go at a time is more than enough. This afternoon’s class was crocheting and I don’t think I overheard anything I didn’t already know. I think everyone was tired because by four everyone was packing it in although the day was scheduled to go until 4:30.

I finished stitching all the blossoms for my Blossom quilt. At one time this project was on my quilt show list but I’m not even tempted to try to finish it. The next step will be to sort the blossoms into sets of three and stitch them onto a background. I’m not sure what I’ll use as background, but probably a cream or a white; I haven’t purchased any specific fabric for it but I might have enough of something in my stash. I bought a second piece of fabric for my Hubble quilt because I couldn’t find the fabric I had originally purchased. By the time it came to making the quilt though I had found the original fabric!

But I’m done for the day … and I mean DONE. Perhaps the one raffle ticket I sold did me in!
