I may have mentioned that we had trouble with our oven at Christmas. My baking didn’t turn out as well as I thought it should; I thought it was probably because I hadn’t done any baking in a long time! But when the Christmas turkey was also a disaster we decided it was the oven’s fault. We’ve had one burner that didn’t light for quite some time and we were told it wasn’t worth fixing.

After Christmas we ordered a new gas/convection oven from Sears. It took its time getting here but it finally arrived at the store on Saturday. This morning we had the new stove delivered to the house and he took away the old one after the electrician/ gas fitter had disconnected it. Pat’s timing was impeccable and everything worked like a charm. At least I imagine it did because I was away sewing all day. There is a burner that has a problem and Pat has already started the warranty work to get a replacement for it.

Doesn’t it look nice? Perhaps it is too complicated for me to operate and I’ll have to give up cooking altogether!
