It was an appliqué day for me at the bee. I had already traced the patterns onto the Steam-a-Seam so it was a matter of trimming the pattern, placing them on fabric, and then cutting the fabric on the tracing lines.
I had a few leaves and roses for my Elizabeth’s House project (that’s what I’m calling her wall hanging). The pieces were very small and I was finished in no time.
I also took along some appliqué work for Taylor’s Frozen quilt. There are 22 snowflakes in three different shapes; they each fit onto a different-coloured background. I ran out of time before I got them all cut out but the rest can be done in an evening while I watch TV. Yes, I can put aside my knitting for one night!
Just in case I had time I stuck my hexies in at the last minute; I’ve added them to my bag several times but it’s been a long time since I worked on them. Each flower has seven pieces, and three of the flowers join together to make one block.
All of these projects may get done for the quilt show; hopefully at least one will make it!
Kathryn finally received the remainder of her birthday present. Who knows where Canada Post was hiding it!
