Getting back to it

Friday, May 30, 2014

For those of you who think I do nothing except sew, this week would have proven you wrong. Except for the Tuesday bee I hadn’t made a stitch until this afternoon. I planned to get an early stitching start but it didn’t turn out that way.

There were a few things I wanted to get done this morning before starting my projects. There was some tidying up to do in the house, and I had a few starter plants that I needed to get in a pot. That led to a bit of weeding, and then I scrubbed down a table in another of our sitting areas. I watered all the baskets and pots before deciding that was enough yard work for the day.

I sat on the back deck and had a lovely long chat with Diane. She has been needle felting of late and sent me a notebook with a lovely needle-felted cover. Very pretty, but I don’t see it as something I would do.

When I finally did make it upstairs, I finished up another card (the last of the June batch) and did another Farmer’s Wife block. I’m glad that last card is done as I was getting a bit bored with doing them, even though each one is different. I have another “special” card due for July so I can get an early start on it now.

I’ll pick Pat up at the airport shortly, but I have time to bring the clothes in from the line and play a game (or two) of Candy Crush. What level are you on?
