I keep a little brown book that I list all my “to do” quilting projects in. For the most part it serves as a reality check when I’m heading to a fabric sale; when I see how many things I already have on the list I am less tempted to purchase more. That works better in theory than it does in reality!
Today I was able to draw a line through two of the items on my list. I finished the last card for May birthdays (check) and I also finished one of the blocks I need for the Guild wind-up party (check). In addition, I finished off another Farmer’s Wife block; the entire quilt is on my list but I don’t strike out individual blocks.
You might think I am getting ahead on my list, but you’d be wrong. On the 15th of the month I get a reminder of the cards required for the next month; today four more cards have been added to the to-do list. I have a bit of breathing room until the next card is due and I picked a rather complicated (and larger) pattern for my next card. It may take more than a day to finish it, but I will keep plodding on.
