It’s been a busy day but I’ve accomplished a lot. It looks like a whirlwind went through my rooms upstairs, but I’ll deal with that later.
I planned to start my day by packing up my sewing box for our trip to Panorama. About the time I was finished my coffee and ready to shower, Pat decided to go back to bed for awhile. That wasn’t a problem – I came upstairs in my pyjamas and started to work on my pizza box. The theme was Tea Time and I knew as soon as I got the box what I was going to do. I revisited one of my first quilting pieces – the wall hanging I made for Diane. This was a completely different colour scheme but it came together very quickly.
I was packing Wonky Stars up for the Guild meeting this week when I realized I hadn’t done a label for it. My original plan for a label didn’t work out as well as I wanted so I had to get a bit creative. I had it stitched in place just before noon, and then I finally got to the shower.
Most of the afternoon has been spent packing up boxes (yes boxes) for my trip to Calgary, Panorama and Saskatoon. I tried a couple of large boxes, but no matter what I did I couldn’t get everything into one box. I have one box shut and ready to go, and the other is open until I’m sure I have everything I need packed into it. I spoke to Stacia and, after our conversation, I added another project. I’ll check in with Deloise later and see if she has any suggestions for things I might have missed. It’s a tricky balance when packing my tools; I still have a few projects I hope to finish before I leave and I don’t have two of everything (although I have two of a lot of things).
Now, back to cleaning up this mess so I can move on to something else (like figuring out my recipe for BOND tomorrow).
