I slept in a bit this morning and by the time I showered and had breakfast (after my hour-long session with my coffee and iPad) it was after ten. I managed to get Madison’s card top finished and a couple of lines of quilting done before leaving for my Red Cross shift.
Before I left I told Pat I was only going to do what HAD to be done, and no more. I’m feeling a bit pressured to get everything done this weekend and I thought I could use some extra time at home. As I was chatting with the morning volunteer (who was substituting for the regular volunteer) she pulled out a $50 gift certificate from one of the grocery stores. She said that everyone recognizes the extra time I put in and they wanted me to know they appreciated it. So I had to stay and do every bit of work that I could find. Even at that I was finished by 2:30 so still had lots of afternoon left.
I had a few errands to run on the way home but I’m settled into my studio now and I’ll get some more quilting done.
