I just finished the quilting on Wonky Stars. It seemed like it took forever, but as I look at it now I can see why. There are 24 blocks, and each block and the star within the block are outlined with a stitch-in-the-ditch. Because I didn’t know better at the time, my batting requires stitching every four inches. That meant I needed to add more … a lot more quilting. There are over 100 free-motion stars, and some of those were done without a template to guide me. I’ll start knotting the threads and burying them next. I would have liked to have stitched the binding on, but I don’t think there will be enough time today.
The good thing about not unpacking from last week’s bee is that I don’t need to pack anything up for tomorrow!
