Moving on

Those small projects I worked on yesterday were my cards for March, and this morning I got them and a parcel ready for the mail tomorrow. There are a lot of April birthdays on my list so I’ll be starting those cards very soon. I also got my gear packed up for the Tuesday sewing bee. I have BOND tomorrow and I’m always wiped after those lunches. As well, we have a St. Patrick’s Day party tomorrow evening and I’m sure I won’t want to start packing when we get home from that. And I hate to miss a minute of sewing time on Tuesday because I still need pack up!

The Guild had an Abstract class going on this weekend so I headed out just before lunch to take a few photos of the works in progress. I didn’t see what they were up to yesterday, but from what I understand they were free-hand drawing on large sheets of paper. When I was admiring the designs they came up with (and they forced me to guess a few times) one student told me they basically started by drawing a curved line across the page. There were mice, parrots, whales, owls, rainbows and flowers all being stitched today. I can hardly wait to see the pieces when they are finished.

From there I stopped at WalMart to do a bit more birthday shopping and then on to Safeway for a few groceries. I’ll spend the rest of the afternoon quilting. I’ve started the ribbing on my socks so the end, or the top actually since I use a toe-up pattern, is near.
