We don’t have “live” TV so we haven’t watched much of the Olympics. We have hooked Pat’s iPad to the TV in the last couple of days and watched a bit of the action. Today is my accounting day and I listened to the Canada-US Women’s hockey game while I did my work. It certainly made my task more pleasant, although the Americans were winning when I headed downstairs to get ready for my Red Cross Shift. There were only six minutes left in the game but I turned the radio on so I could catch the end. I was thrilled that they managed to tie the game up. I stretched it out for as long as I could, but I had to head off to my shift when they were only a few minutes into the overtime period.
I had a quiet shift today, but there is always so much “other” work to do that I’m never caught up. I had to make a detour on my way home and go back to the theatre. I left my rain hat there last night so I wanted to pick it up. Not that it looks like rain today – it is very bright, sunny and spring-like.
As soon as I got home I checked the computer and saw that Canada won the gold medal. I’m glad for all the team, but especially happy for the long-time team members who will be retiring this year. Will the men’s team be able to do the same? Go Canada Go!
I have a Guild demo tonight; we’ll learn how to use gel pensĀ in our quilting.
