I didn’t have any commitments today so I thought I’d finish the free-motion quilting project. But first I had a couple of phone calls to return. I carried a few pieces of paper upstairs with me and thought I may as well take care of them while they were on top of the pile. That led to working on Pat’s accounting, clearing up my bills, and cleaning out my mailbox. The afternoon is now almost gone and I haven’t even’t turned my machine on.

I think I’ll make myself a cup of tea (I’m refusing to give in to my cold and sore throat) and do some knitting with what is left of the day.
