It was so nice to be back at the sewing bee today. I’ve missed a few weeks and it was good to catch up with everyone. To celebrate the end of the year we had a pot luck lunch – this was the third Guild pot luck this month so no wonder Pat was confused yesterday about the dishes I was preparing. My soup was a hit, as we’re the fortune cookies. After a few of our fortunes were read out loud, we were laughing at how appropriate they were for quilters!

We are invited to a house party tonight. I expect there will be instruments brought out at some point of the evening, and I’ve heard there will be games (board games I hope)!

I haven’t thought of any particular resolutions for the new year. I doubt (and don’t remember) if any of last year’s were kept so, if you have kept track, let’s just say I’m carrying them all forward.
