I was out the door shortly after 9 AM and on my way to the bee. There was a flu clinic going on at the Seniors’ Centre so we were back at the mobile park clubhouse today. Lots of fun, laughter, and a bit of sewing. There was lots to talk about today – the craft fair over the weekend and the proposed ferry changes.
One of the quilters who had a table at the sale made several aprons that didn’t sell. Kathleen knew that I had purchased an apron pattern so I’d have an apron for BOND. She asked me today whether I had made myself an apron and when I said “Not yet” she said she would like to give me one of her aprons. She said she thought the BOND program was very important, and she thought I was doing a wonderful job in volunteering! I was so pleased and I’ll be turning those babies heads when I show up wearing my new apron.
I didn’t have the time (or energy) yesterday to cut out a new project for today’s bee. I still had some hand stitching to do so that is what I took with me. My “to do” bucket is full though. I have two blocks of the month to catch up on, my pizza box block needs to be done, and I have four placemats to make. I also promised myself I could start a new project after the craft sale. I’ve picked out the project, but I don’t think I’ll start it until I have all my Christmas parcels in the mail.
I’m off now to get this year’s Advent Calendars in the mail.
