It’s been a busy day and it’s not over yet. I spent the morning quilting and then headed out just past noon on some errands.
We went to the movie last night (Blue Jasmine). I used the last of my cash so my first stop was the bank. Then I headed down the hill and picked up a birthday present at one of the galleries. The cinnamon bun shop right across the street from the gallery was to be the spot for today’s Cash Mob. They mob at 1 PM but since I wasn’t available for then I spent my money early!
From there I headed to the townsite to take some photos for the Guild. As part of the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl, one of our splinter groups had a fibre arts display at one of the heritage homes. From there I stopped in at the Rodmay hotel to pick up tickets for a show they are holding tonight.
Once I was home I went back to my quilting. I chatted with the Red Cross loan cupboard convener about what she will do when I’m away. She will be fine but she was pleased that I was planning to go in on Monday to catch things up. I realized that I had neglected to get spares for the weeks I’ll be away so I had to make a couple of phone calls to sort those shifts out. My timing was perfect as most of the people on the volunteer list were home recovering from today’s big Auxiliary bazaar. Often I have to call several times before I actually connect with anyone.
I didn’t finish my quilting today but it should be a quick job in the morning.
