I spent a couple of hours this morning at the Red Cross. I always hope to get in and out before the volunteer for the day arrives, but if I can’t do that, Monday is the day to be there. As soon as Olinta arrives and sees me, she puts the kettle on so we can have coffee. Even though I already had a big cup this morning, I accepted another one from her.
I was barely home when my friend from down the street, Carolla, asked me down for a visit. Carolla and I are still hoping (well she is still hoping) to get a table for one of the craft fairs. She has just joined the Guild and she wanted some help with The Slice! challenge. She does a lot of crafts, but lately it has been mostly knitting. After a visit with her I’m always inspired to dig out my needles!
It was almost two when I got home and I really didn’t feel like heading back to my quilting. I finished my book and then I had a look at some of the projects I’ve been thinking about for the sale (if we do it).
I could have stitched together the baby shawl that is finished; I could have finished the collar on a knitted sweater; I could have worked on the scarf I have started. But no, I dug out the two balls of eyelash yarn I got at the recent craft supply sale and started a new project!
