Time to get busy

We had a larger than usual team for trivia last night. We have only ever been a team of three, but Jo hasn’t been able to make it to the last two events. We expected to be alone last night but just before the game got started our friends Deb and Paul arrived so we nabbed them for our team. They were meeting another friend so when she arrived we had a table of five. We did very well in the first half of the challenge, and we were in second place. We did very poorly on the second half though and ended up in third place. We won a bag of books, but with a bigger team we ended up with only one book each. We gave the sixth book back as we either owned it or had read it already.

I spent most of the day quilting. The pattern I devised for my baby quilt was going well, but when I finished up the center I had six inch gaps between the quilting lines. The batting I am using calls for quilting every four inches so I have started filling in the two inch gaps on each block. It will be a day or two yet before I’m done!

I walked down the hill for coffee with Carolla this afternoon. We have talked in the past about setting up a table at the local craft fairs and we needed to decide whether or not we were going to do it. If we can still get a table we will try for one sale this Christmas. The Dwight Hall sale is a big one but I suspect that we might be too late to get a table. If we get one I’m going to have to dig out some UFOs and finish them off quickly. Carolla does a lot of knitting projects so I’ll concentrate my efforts on some quilting items. I have a few quick projects in mind, and I have a few almost-done wool projects as well.

I’ll dig out those UFOs, but not tonight. We’re off to the movies!
