It’s been too long since I chatted with Diane. I thought yesterday would be the day, but it just didn’t work out. We finally connected this morning, right after I got home from the doctor. We chatted for over an hour but probably could have gone on for another hour. She had even drawn up a list of things we needed to discuss! She’s given me a heads-up on what she wants for a birthday card; her birthday isn’t until January so I have some time to think of a pattern and practise!
I’ve been aiming at quilting for almost two weeks but I have barely touched anything other than piecing. I cleaned the kitchen floor this morning and I was finally able to sandwich the baby quilt. Once it was all spread out it didn’t seem so big; but it is quite a bit larger than the baby quilts Mum made for my kids. I didn’t have a chance to start any quilting, but I’m one step closer!
About a week ago our friend Brenda brought us a zuchinni from their garden. All last week I planned to make a loaf but when I finally got around to looking at the recipe I realized I needed lemons. I picked those up yesterday afternoon and this afternoon I baked two zuchinni loaves.
To finalize my day, I’m going to do some work on the Guild blog and we’ll go out to the Farmer’s Market a bit later.
