This Christmas in July theme is getting a bit boring. I finished quilting on a couple of pieces this morning. I’ve done the same pattern a few times so there wasn’t any big surprise when I got to the end of it.
Perhaps boredom prompted me to invite Pat out for lunch. We didn’t go far, and we only had a bowl of soup each. We stopped at the liquor store after lunch and bought a couple of bottles of wine – that should spice things up a bit!
When we got home I got potatoes and eggs boiled so I can make a potato salad for dinner. Pat has some chicken breasts marinating and, with the hot weather, we thought a salad would be a good match. I’m surprised this is the first time this summer I’ve made it.
I’m back in my studio again this afternoon and working on a couple of new versions of the same projects. I’m glad that by the end of the month the majority of my Christmas stitching will be done but I’m more than ready to move on. I have a Christmas plan for the next Craftsy class so I may switch to that on Sunday. We’re off to the Island tomorrow to meet Peggy and Bill for a visit.
