When I have projects on the go (and when don’t I?) keeping to a regular cleaning schedule is hard. Pat’s writing group was meeting here this morning so it was time to do some heavier-duty cleaning. I dusted, wiped down all the counters, polished the tabletop, vacuumed and spot-mopped the floors. I knew there wouldn’t be a big group, but any company that motivates me to clean is a good thing.
While Pat met with his group I worked upstairs. I corrected the mistakes I made during last night’s session, and then moved ahead on a couple more projects. I’m not sure why I had so much trouble last night – perhaps I shouldn’t be trying to chain-piece eight projects at a time.
It was quiet at the Red Cross today, except for the first hour when the convenor was in and tried to organize how we will do all the computer work. We aren’t connected to the network yet, but she thinks she has a plan. Very few of the volunteers will want to use the computer so what she was actually planning was how I would manage things. Not that I discredit her method, but I think I’ll find my own. I’m looking forward to having the computer system up and running; I’m not looking forward to working with the convenor.
Are you playing Candy Crush Saga? I heard about it on the Ellen show (when I was at Elizabeth’s) but resisted the urge to try it out. When I was at Christy’s she was telling me how much fun it is. Fun yes, but very addictive! The nice thing about it is that there is a built-in timer that only allows you to waste time on a few games at any one stretch. I powered through the first levels, but I’ve been stuck at Level 29 for over a week. I seem to remember that Christy was having trouble with this level as well.
Today I decided to move only the pieces that the game included in their hint. I thought maybe if I followed their suggestions, step by step, I could pass the level. Not so; I still couldn’t get those darned jellies cleared in the allotted 60 moves. I’d say this level is impossible, except I noticed on Facebook that one of my quilting friends had completed Level 279!
