It feels like a lazy day, but I actually got a lot done. Imagine what I could have accomplished had I really tried!
First off, I’m not sure what is going on with my journal subscriptions. They didn’t go through last night, as you probably noticed. I haven’t changed anything on my end, but you never know what sort of technical glitch may have occurred somewhere else along the line. I’m going to try something different this afternoon before I post this and we’ll see if it makes a difference.
I started my day back at the Senior Centre. One of the ladies who sews on Wednesday (not a group affiliated with the Guild although a lot of the stitchers are Guild members) is moving and she is downsizing her fabric collection. She had everything measured and priced – the larger pieces were only $2 a meter – so it didn’t take long for me to pick up an armful. Some of it will probably end up as backings, and some I purchased because I think they will go with other fabric I already have. I also picked up a box of Christmas fabric to add to my collection.
It was after lunch when I finally made it upstairs. Because I had done all the cutting yesterday I was able to start stitching right away. I’ve got the tops finished for a couple of projects. I’ve found the special batting I need at the vendor just down the street. We’re trying to find a time when I can pick it up and take a peek at her other fabrics. She tells me they are all 30% off so deals are everywhere it seems.
Pat is out this evening so I will continue sewing as long as it is going well. If not, I’ll return to my book.
