Not much accomplished today

Pat took the plane to Vancouver this morning and he will attend a memorial service tonight for our friend Si. Although I can’t be there, I’ll be able to see the event through a live screening site that has been set up. The event sounds a bit like a party, which isn’t a surprise given Si’s view of living and leaving. It will be interesting to see how this works and how much different it feels than a “regular” service.

I expected to get a lot of sewing done today but I have to admit I’ve been a bit lazy. I finished up a card this morning and then went out and did a bit of shopping. I needed some ingredients for the recipes I want to make for our guild party tomorrow, and I needed to finish shopping for a gift I hope to get in the mail tomorrow.

I also got a couple of loads of laundry done and hung outside. I’ve had to stick my head outside every now and again to make sure it isn’t raining. It is quite gray and cloudy but so far everything is drying.

I did a bit more work on the placemats I started yesterday. Had I not been so lazy this afternoon, the tops at the very east would be done. I’ll see if I can make more progress on them before I stop for the day.
