Tuesday’s rule

I was so excited to be heading back to the Tuesday quilting bee that I couldn’t sleep and was up early. It was so nice to see all my friends and hear their news, and see what they’ve been working on in my absence. I saw some familiar projects that were a little closer to being finished, as well as some new projects started. We had a bit of a laugh because for the next two years the entire Guild executive are regulars at the Tuesday bee!

I worked on three projects today. I sandwiched the Community Quilt that I made earlier this spring. I hope to get it quilted over the summer and turn it in at our September meeting. I needed a card made in short order so I worked on that before lunch. I had a few false starts (and had to pitch a couple of blocks) and I had to do some reverse stitching on a couple of others, but it eventually was finished. The final project was a start on some placemats. It is a pattern I’ve had marked for a long time and it was nice to actually get it started.

Pearl 2 made her debut at the bee. I hadn’t tested her with paper piecing but she worked just fine. I said yesterday that she is noisier than Ruby. Funny, with all the chatter in the room today, I didn’t even notice the noise!

We’re off to the Library’s Trivia Night tonight. We were on the winning team last month so we have a reputation to protect. I think I should study a few maps as we lost most of our marks last time on geography questions.
