An interesting day

I left the house at eight this morning and didn’t get home until 4:30. The Guild ladies kept me busy, although I had enough free time to stitch down the binding on two of my projects. They weren’t far into their workshop before I was breathing a sigh of delight that I chose to participate as a hostess, rather than a student.

There were 18 tables to set up with chairs at each station. We had three ironing boards on the go and I had to keep the irons filled with water. I made three pots of coffee and two pots of tea. I set up four tables in an adjacent room so that 20 of us could eat together. When the catered trays arrived I set out plates, glasses and cutlery. When the punch was made I called the ladies for lunch. After lunch there were dishes to do and at the end of the day I had to do the clean up. It felt a little like a BOND lunch except I didn’t have to make the lunch!

If you are interested in seeing what the ladies were working on, check out the Guild’s blog.

I thought I was finished sewing until after my trip, but I realized this morning there was one project I was missing. It’s a small one so I think if I work tonight and Monday I can get it done.
