I’ve been back in my studio today and, because it is near the end of the month, I’m trying to make good on my April goals.

I’m working on a piece that I started at least two years ago. I know that because it is an Advent Calendar that I’ve planned to have ready as a gift for the past two Christmases. I can see from some of the work that I’ve improved greatly in my sewing skills since I first started. And the addition of Ruby has also made a big difference. There are a number of things that I’m not pleased with but I’m not going back to redo them. I guess Grandma will have to make sure the treats inside the pockets are enough to distract from the stitching!

I was getting near the end of my iPad book so whenever I stopped for coffee today I read a chapter or two. I’ve finished City of Women and I can recommend it highly.
